Carbide Cutting Tools

Carbide Drills

New technology makes carbide the best choice for extended tool life when drilling many abrasive materials. High gains in productivity are now possible in many more materials since solid carbide drills may be run at twice the speed of high speed steel drills. Drills are available in metric, fractional, letter and wire sizes, in diameters from 3/64 inches through to 12.7 mm

200 Series:
Carbide straight flute drills are designed to drill work hardened, treated and abrasive materials such as stainless steel and cryogenic alloys. They produce chips without generating excessive heat and make accurately sized holes without annealing or softening the work piece. These drills are both a production and reclaim tool which can also produce a reamer type finish.
215 Series:
Slow spiral drills are designed to drill hardened and gummy materials and high temperature alloy steels. They are recommended for stainless steel, tool steel and high temperature, titanium and nickel alloys. Their greater web section provides the rigidity and strength needed for drilling tough materials.
220 Series:
Solid carbide twist drills are designed for use on non-ferrous alloys, cast iron, plastics, aluminium and highly abrasive materials. They have sufficient strength for drilling these materials at high feed rates with good chip flow.
